For all of you with sports injuries, a sore back or simply needing a bit of relaxation, then you'll be pleased to know that Samantha Weir has opened her Sports Life Therapy clinic at Karelia House near Kenmore. Samantha studied at Strathclyde University where she graduated with a B.Sc. in Sport and Exercise Science involving the study of human movement, incorporating physiology, psychology, motor control, biomechanics, nutrition and performance analysis. |

From there she gained a variety of post graduate diplomas with the Western School of Massage, including sports injuries massage and Swedish massage. Other qualifications gained were infant massage, hydrotherm massage, scientific core conditioning and a certificate in counselling skills. Samantha is also a certified Kettlebell teacher.
Samantha has been practising sports massage for 8 years. Samantha's work has involved training young adults to a level of physical fitness required to enter the armed forces. She was operating her clinic in the west end of Glasgow, treating competitors of Britain's strongest man and woman for their sporting injuries aswell as treating individuals from the Scottish National Orchestra. Other clinic work involved treating employees of BP on their offshore oilrig installations. |
